Hi, my name is Judi LeBlanc I am an Artist and Illustrator from UK. I studied painting at the Art Academy, Southwark, London with a foundation at Wimbledon, London. Further studies at Princes Trust, Kensington Palace, (Andy Pankhurst), and Norfolk Painting School (Martin Kinnear). I work in Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, Digital and Pastel. Despite dabbling some 30 years or so, my style continues to evolve as I strive to capture the beauty in the scenery around me whilst experimenting with direct vs indirect. Many influences, including: Sorolla, Winslow Homer, Sargent, Whistler, Turner & Cezanne amongst others....
I arrived in Florida from Bahamas March 2020 and am enjoying being here; the enthusiasm and friendliness of the people I've met has been as inspiring as the views. Living in the Bahamas, the clear turquoise water and soft sand beaches always colorful and distinctly tropical, were a joy to paint, here the scenery in Florida, whether beach views or inland, are plentiful and include some uniquely Floridian aspects like the alligator parks, quaint Key West homes, shorelines with sand dunes, beach grasses, sea oats, and the Atlantic's wild surf following a storm.
Talking of Florida views: I have spare easels. If anyone is interested in joining me for PLEIN AIR (Out door) Painting around Stuart, FL, please do get in touch. I have taught Adult acrylic master classes in the past and also host the Bahamas Plein Air group on facebook, would be and am very happy to teach acrylics to any outdoor painting enthusiasts who want to try to their hand in or around Stuart, FL, or just join me for fun painting outdoors
